Another Ganesh Chathurthi rolls by,

Stories, myths, lores all remind:

This Lord of Plenty wants nothing, 

Invoked the first, gives way to other beings. 

He makes an art of 'jugaad', the Ekdantaya, 

He works as scribe, the Granta geyaya. 

The brave, gigantic one riding a tiny mouse,

Reminding us to NOT show off

The one who never forgot his roots, 

This son of Gauri, and only Gauri, foremost.

For these lessons and more, we are blessed truly,

Deemahi, deemahi, deemahi.
