It is easy to walk, walk to forget your
pain.
Aimless, senseless wanderings, your mind
free of restrain.
Shops abound, shopkeepers call out,
pedestrians dash past.
But you just walk, and walk fast.
Nothing infringes on a soul turned inward,
Peace that you seek has been delivered.
Then a screech of brakes that jar,
Reality is no longer afar.
You apologise sweetly.
People blame the mobile, you acquise
unknowingly.
You wonder what would happen if...
And then decide there is little to crib
Just be more careful planning such a venture
When you let intrude not a murmur,
Choose a garden, a park, a gym even
When next you want, crave, oblivion.

- OK before anyone gets on my case, while it is based on a true incident, there have been several such instances when I was not even at fault AND there is something called DRAMATIC LICENSE.
