Describing 2022

On a personal note:

How do I describe 2022? 

Harrowing, reconnecting, saddening, welcoming, 

Limiting, uplifting, conflicting, awakening,

Weakening, bolstering, endlessly pausing, regardless charging. 

Loss of folks personally and professionally, 

Some gone forever, some by distance relatively. 

Yet there are connections new, and old ones renewed. 

I am yet to come to grips with 2022. 

I feel helpless, grateful, determined, confused. 

I began the year on a melody harkening sadness. 

I began the last day with gratitude and gladness. 

Hopefully 2023 can help me process

The lessons 2022 introduced but let me not focus.
